In economics, the difference between a good and a service is that goods are tangible, physical items that can be bought and sold, while services are intangible, non-physical items that are provided by someone. For example, when you buy a car, you're purchasing a good. But when you go to a mechanic to have your car serviced, you're purchasing a service. Both goods and services have value, but goods are usually more tangible and can be bought and sold more easily. Additionally, services can be more difficult to measure and quantify than goods.

A good is a tangible or physical product that someone will buy, tangible meaning something you can touch, and a service is when you pay for a skill. A service is something intangible, which can't be physically touched or stored.
