A long-term perspective is crucial in investment strategy because it allows you to ride out market fluctuations, benefit from compound interest, and capitalize on the power of time in building wealth. It enables you to focus on the overall performance of your investments rather than short-term volatility, ultimately increasing the likelihood of achieving your financial goals.

I would be very careful when putting your money into something that isn’t long term. When an investor comes to our firm and says they want to make money in one year, I tell them not to waste our time or theirs and just leave it in the bank. Investments require time to grow. Anyone who tells you otherwise may be trying to sell you a bill of goods or may be encouraging you to gamble.
