Expectations of recruiters' response to resumes was created by xuzewi
Any person looking for a job would want a recruiter to send a response to a submitted resume. In the USA, do we have cultural expectations for recruiters to offer responses to individuals who have submitted resumes in search for jobs?

In the USA, there is no specific cultural expectation for recruiters to respond to all resumes submitted by job seekers. However, most recruiters will typically provide some form of response, whether it is a confirmation email, a request for more information, or a rejection letter. The level of response may vary depending on the company and the position being applied for. It is generally considered good etiquette for recruiters to respond to all applicants, even if it is simply to let them know that they were not selected for the position. This allows applicants to know where they stand and not feel as if their time was wasted.
