In "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley, the theme of isolation and loneliness is evident through the character of Victor Frankenstein, who isolates himself in his pursuit of scientific knowledge, leading to his emotional and physical isolation. The creature he creates also experiences extreme loneliness, as he is rejected by society and his creator, driving him to seek vengeance.
